For the model electronic spectrum in the tight-binding approximation it isshown that the finite homogeneous deformation essentially increases thequantity of pairs of electronic states which are active in generation of atomsdisplacement waves. This conclusion gives additional possibilities for theexplanation of features of the process of martensitic transformation.
